Nandaihe
lies in the southeast of Funing County, Qinhuangdao City,
Hebei Province, with an area of 20 square km and a coast
line of 17.5 km. It is connected with Beidaihe, the famous“Summer
Capital of China”, by a bridge. The sea water here is clear
and calm, and it is neither too deep nor too shallow for
swimming; the beach is broad and soft , and on the other
side of the beach lines the shelter forest. Thanks to the
unique seawater, sand beach, fresh air, bright sunlight
and green trees, it is an ideal place for tourists to have
a sea-bath, sun bath, sand bath and forest bath. So it prides
itself as “The First-Class Bathing Place”. It is one of
the first healthy bathing places, provincial tourist areas
and provincial nature parks, and it consists of six scenic
sights including Nandaihe International Amusement Center.
Because of the complete basis facilities and popular sights
here, “Tour and have fun in Nandaihe”has become a famous
brand, and it has a better and better effect. Nandaihe International
Amusement Center is broad in scale and high in grade. The
tourists can both get fun out of sand-skiing and grass-skiing,
and enjoy the return-to-nature charm by watching birds in
the forest, catching crabs on the beach and going boating
on the water. An ecological tourist project built in the
center in 2002 is The Chinese Lotus Garden, covering an
area of 600 mu , with 300 species of rare lotuses. It has
the functions of travelling and touring, appreciating and
savouring lotuses and experiencing the culture of lotus.
Inside the garden, fresh and marvelous scenery is seen here
and there: a green island surrounded by a calm lake, ponds
covered by green leaves with flowers in different positions;
winding corridors with pictures; elegant pavilions, golden
towers and arch bridges. The center also owns some exciting
and stimulating entertainments like cable railway, banji
over the sea. Besides, Water Playground gives entertainments
like “happy family”, adventure in the pipe and so on .
