The Palace
of Journey to the West lies in the
northeast of Nandaihe Tourist Area,
covering 35000 square meters, with
the building area of 5094 square meters.
The sight is based on the famous Chinese
classic work “Journey to the West”
and designed according to the TV serial
“Journey to the West”, with a skillful
combination of modern sound, light,
and electricity. There are altogether
25 views, vividly reappearing the
difficult and frustrated tour of four
monks and a marvelous and unfathomable
myth world.
Around-the-World
Palace is a marvelous place where
you can travel around the world without
going abroad. It is situated in the
west of the 1st section of Nadaihe
Tourist Area, and occupies an area
of more than 32000square meters, with
the building area of 4440 square meters.
The palace intensively shows famous
spots, customs, nature mysteries from
more than 20 countries in 5 continents
and even the star war in fiction.
It contains knowledge, art, interest,
thrill and thought, and gives people
something fresh and new.
Fairy Land is close to
the Around-the-World Palace. It was
started on December 15, 1991, covering
21.23 mu, with an outside parking
lot of 18.9 mu. Its building area
is 7100 square meters and the total
investment is 8,316,000 RMB yuan.
The opening ceremony was held on June
6, 1992 and it was open the next day.
The famous national calligraphist
Qi Gong inscribes the name.
Fairy Land was designed by Lu Xun
Art College. It is a grand building
with features of European castles
in the Middle Ages, both solemn and
elegant. On the top there are 9 hemicycle
roofs and 8 cone towers and the main
building is made up of two floors:
on the first is the Fairy Land and
the second serves as a cinema and
some recreation rooms.
